PYTHEAS Your Guided Trajectory

is a medical device for surgical assistance for pedicle screw delivery procedures.

It is intended for spinal surgery for arthrodesis in posterior approach, for the thoracic, lumbar and sacral levels.

During pedicle drilling and then placement of the screw, PYTHEAS Your Guided Trajectory (YGT) assists surgeons with angular guidance in reference to preoperative planning.

PYTHEAS YGT is a complete system, including:

trajectory planning and guidance software,
a touch screen, orientation sensors and computer accessories,
and a dedicated ancillary.

PYTHEAS YGT is a CE marked class IIb medical device.

Our history

From 2013 - Dr GLARD, pediatric orthopedic surgeon, imagines the concept of assistance by angular guidance.
2015 - PYTHEAS NAVIGATION is founded by Dr GLARD and Marc FORMAN.
2016 - Prize of the "Innovation in Orthopedic Surgery" from the French Academy of Surgery, awarded to Dr GLARD.
2017 - PYTHEAS NAVIGATION wins the global innovation competition of the Public Investment Bank (BPI). This step launches the industrial development of the solution.
End of 2022 - First surgeries carried out at Nimes University Hospital and St Joseph Hospital in Marseille as part of the CE pre-marking clinical study.
End of 2023 - PYTHEAS NAVIGATION obtains CE marking.
January 2024 - first surgeries at St Joseph Hospital in Marseille - France.
